Cypress Press exists for several reasons. First, as a Christian publisher, we exist to publish good books for the glory of God. As an independent publisher, we use modern technology, such as Print-on-Demand services, to cut out as much of the middle man as possible between the writer's pen and the published book. Our goal is to work with authors to edit, design, print, and distribute their books.
Cypress Press aims specifically to help Christian leaders, thinkers, and artists get the Spirit-inspired ideas from their minds to the printed page. Whether a stay-at-home mom who wants to convert her blog into a book or the pastor who wants to write a devotional for his church, we exist for the every-day person who has something to say but lacks the means and resources to say it.
Cypress Press is intentionally and proudly rooted in Shreveport, Louisiana. The bald cypress tree, after which we are named, is the state tree of Louisiana. For many it is also a symbol of the South. While we are no geographical bigots, Cypress Press seeks to invest and root itself in this particular place and people, believing that such concentrated effort makes all the difference in quality of life, work, and relationships.
