“A touching story of 'outrageous faith' that God has used to impact the people of Myanmar. We loved Nun when he was a student at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and are grateful that his education and faith in his Lord are bearing significant fruit in his home country.”
- Dennis Hollinger, Ph.D.
President of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
This is the story of Nun, a Burmese friend of mine from seminary. Every time I (David) tell his story, people are moved and inspired and hungry for more, so I decided to do the research and make it into a full-fledged biography.
From lumberjack in the Burmese jungle to a traveling evangelist in the streets of Yangon, from American grad student to Burmese Bible college principal, this story is most of all about the extraordinary work of God in the life of an ordinary man. It is 1 Peter 5:6-7 in the flesh: "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
I’m writing this in partnership with Myanmar Evangelical Bible College, the school Nun founded in 2013, which will receive all profits from this work.
